Ralph J Dixon
Ralph Dixon is the Executive Director of Sustainability, YTL Corporation Berhad, one of the top 30 companies listed on the Malaysian stock exchange. The YTL Group's core businesses are ownership and management of regulated utilities and other infrastructure assets. YTL serves more than 12 million customers in three continents. Ralph has been with YTL for more than ten years, and is the CEO of their carbon consulting subsidiary (YTL-SV Carbon) and managing the environmental investment and sustainability divisions for the Group.
Ralph is a Trustee and Honorary Secretary of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation, an alternate Trustee of Reef Check Malaysia, and Chairman of Save Wild Tigers (M) LLP.
Previously, Ralph worked in investment banking for 15 years with Hoare Govett, Hong Leong and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Following that, he moved into manufacturing in 2001 as the Chief Executive Officer of the paper converting factories of Detpak in Indonesia and South Africa, and then Hong Leong Asia in Singapore as Chief Executive Officer for their recycled wood packaging subsidiary, GPac Technology before joining YTL Corp Bhd in Malaysia.
Ralph Dixon graduated from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, with a B.Sc. (hons) in Management Sciences. He also has a Diploma in Mandarin from the National Taiwan Normal University.
Pooja Bansal
Pooja is an energy and environment management expert with 13+ years of experience in the field of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management and reporting, carbon markets and finance, climate change mitigation, waste management, and sustainability.
Pooja has been with YTL for more than ten years and is the Principal Consultant for the carbon and the sustainability division. Prior to this, she worked with a leading environment and infrastructure firm in India.
She has worked extensively in Asian countries and handled over 50+ projects in climate change, carbon and REC markets in various sectors.
She specialises in ERPA negotiations, legal and environmental due-diligence and sale of carbon credits and has been involved in successful registration, verification and issuance of carbon credits for several projects. She has worked with several multilateral banks and international agencies for several climate and environment related projects.
She is skilled in development of GHG inventories and has worked for various sectors, including Power, Telecommunications, Hotels & Resorts, Construction, Transportation, events and more. She is also engaged in technical and financial analysis of GHG abatement projects.
Apart from this, she has worked on City Development Plans (CDP), energy efficiency projects and other infrastructure projects.
Pooja holds a Master's Degree in Energy Systems and is a qualified ISO 14064 GHG Lead Evaluator and well trained in ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
Prasna Nair
Solving climate change is one of humanity's greatest challenges, that’s where Prasna hopes to contribute with her years of experience and passion for environmental advocacy. Her niche background in Forestry Sciences and ongoing Masters in Sustainability Sciences has equipped her with relevant skills and knowledge on climate adaptation and mitigation, energy policies, socio-legal aspects of sustainability and green technology systems. She is experienced in GHG assessments and reporting, management of renewable energy certificates (RECs), waste management as well as development and managing of carbon offset projects.
Zaiton Hashim
Zaiton has been with YTL for more than ten years. Prior to this she has worked with a leading telco company for 14 years and before that with a well-known Bank in Malaysia.
In her current role, she is involved in managing office budgets, bank reconciliations, liaising with suppliers & clients, and implementing and maintaining procedures on office administrative systems for the company.
